Highly experienced in successful earned and paid media campaigns, public affairs and grassroots work, Catherine has been involved with a variety of real estate-related projects—from master-planned communities to commercial developments to zero energy home promotions through traditional paid media and the Internet. She has worked for national development industry powerhouses, bringing their message and brands down and into the neighborhood and town council levels. For these campaigns and others, she consistently sways public and decision-maker perceptions from suspicious to supportive, coordinating efforts of clients, landowners, elected officials and other parties.
Catherine also provides insight on unique real estate challenges, such as mitigating outspoken public and political opposition, balancing media coverage, as well as dealing with and educating audiences on topics such as tax credits and the economic benefits of controversial land use deals and issues. Catherine is an authority on arranging and succeeding at those decisive one-on-one meetings with stakeholders, members of the media or leaders of resistance groups.
Catherine joined DW Turner with 25 years of professional and award-winning experience in public and media relations. Following her early career as a reporter and editor in California, Catherine branched into the public relations field, where she exceled as both a specialist and leading executive, enacting impactful change for the betterment of communities.
